RUF-Modified 1971 Porsche 911S Coupe

This special 911S was once owned by Jerry Seinfield, who sent it to RUF in Pfaffenhausen, Germany, for refurbishisment and modification. Sold at auction on 10/16/2025 for USD $657,000 on BAT.

Work performed at RUF involved stripping and repairing the body, reinforcing the chassis, and adding flared rear wheel arches before the car was repainted in its original color.

Fuchs 15×7” front and 15×8” rear wheels have satin black recesses, and 185/70 and 215/60 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 tires were mounted in 2023.

The four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a RUF-branded 10k-rpm tachometer flanked by VDO instrumentation consisting of a 180-mph speedometer, a clock, and combination gauges.

The rear seats have been removed, and the reclining sport seats are trimmed in black leather with Pepita cloth inserts. Lightweight door panels have been installed, and a Blaupunkt push-button AM/FM radio remains in the factory location.

The 3.4-liter flat-six features a twin-plug ignition setup, electronic fuel injection, individual throttle bodies with red velocity stacks, and a RUF exhaust system. The cooling system is said to have been upgraded with thermostat-controlled RSR-specification oil coolers.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a custom six-speed manual transaxle with a hydraulic clutch assembly.A RUF Bilstein suspension kit was installed in addition to a G50-specification rear torsion tube and 930-specification disc brakes with drilled rotors and RUF-branded calipers.
